Many have been asking for a place to sign the petition online since they haven’t been make it out to the events. There are actually a couple that have been started, so we’ll put the links up here. We are also trying to upload a petition you can print out and get signatures on as well.

I don’t have Pit Bulls but I do have a very BIG, she’s 205 pounds and LOVING Mastiff. So I know what it means to own a powerful breed. BSL is not the way to solve any type of dog problems. I do feel a dog should be put down if it attacks a person or another dog. But punish “that dog” not the whole breed. I do think Hawaii needs to do more to stop and punish anyone involved in dog or cock fighting. It should NOT be tolerated.

    Please consider these FACTS:

    1. Pit bulls are genetically predispositioned for strong jaws, not aggression.
    2. Pit bulls are extremely loyal, and if they are improperly trained, not trained at all, or trained to be aggressive, they will simply do what they are told (or not told) to do.
    3. No dog breed is genetically predispositioned for aggression.
    4. There are no dangerous dogs, only dangerous handlers and owners (obviously, not all of them are dangerous)!

There are solutions to dog problems in Hawaii, but AB 79 is NOT one of them. No one has the right to tell another human being what breed (race) is free to live in country based on freedom for all.

We need real solutions and not more problems based on ignorance - the ignorance behind SB79.

We need responsible pet ownership, which includes spaying and neutering pets, responsible breeders and responsible trainers!

Let’s unite to find REAL solutions.
